In July, with golden daylight stretching deep into the evening, we explored Copenhagen—a city where design isn’t just seen, it’s lived. Having travelled through much of Europe, we’ve long admired its layered cultures. But Scandinavia, and Denmark in particular, stands apart. Here, design isn’t a luxury—it’s part of daily life. From a bench to a bike lane, from a food stall to a public park, everything reflects care, consideration, and human focus.

Nestled in the northeast corner of the City of London,the Barbican Estate is many things at once: a Brutalist icon, a residential experiment, a cultural stronghold—
and above all, a home. The Barbican is not simply a place to live; it is a way of inhabiting the city—elevated above the noise, surrounded by rhythm, and quietly connected to everything.
